THE SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST (I)
“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” II Corinthians 11:3 NKJV
The simplicity of Christ often confuses and complicates things for those who have already chosen to reject Him.
As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1:18, Christ is a stumbling block to the perishing but the power of God to the saved. Anyone who teaches that miracles, such as healing or raising the dead, are no longer possible, is preaching a different version of Jesus than the one the apostles taught (2 Corinthians 11:4). Child of God, never let anyone suggest that God’s power has limitations.
Our circumstances don’t define God’s character; we believe to see, not the other way around. Praise God!
Prayer: Father, thank you for this truth. My spirit is aligned with your nature, and your word guides my actions to glorify you in all things, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
