TO BE BLESSED (III)

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 NIV

Meekness is a disposition of spirit where one accepts the dealings of God as good—embracing them without resistance or dispute.

The earth is the dwelling place of humanity. To inherit it means to walk in a grace that penetrates even the hardest of hearts, because nothing softens a person like a gentle spirit. Even in the face of evil, you endure the wounds inflicted, not out of defeat, but out of trust that God remains sovereign over all things. He will administer justice in His perfect time, while refining you as His chosen son or daughter (Romans 8:28).

Child of God, meekness must not be mistaken for weakness. It is the posture of a heart fully surrendered to the hands of the One who knows best, forsaking the deceptive strength of self-reliance. Flesh can never sustain what only the Spirit empowers.

You are truly blessed when you let Him live His life through you. Hallelujah!

Prayer: My Father, I thank You for this wisdom. I choose a life of surrender, for I have tasted the renewing strength found in letting You lead me. It is in You that I live, move, and have my being—through Your Holy Spirit at work in me. For this reason, I am above always and never beneath, to the glory of Your name. Amen!
