TO BE BLESSED (V)
“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Matthew 5:7 NIV
To be merciful is to be actively compassionate toward others.
It is an outward expression of our love for God, made visible through how we treat those around us. Mercy is one of the most tangible ways we resemble our Father—for it not only refreshes the heart of the giver, but brings healing and hope to the one who receives it.
Child of God, Scripture consistently exalts service and acts of kindness as among the highest delights on earth. As sons and daughters of the Most High, we honor Him best when we walk in His likeness—loving mercy, doing good, and obeying His Word from the heart.
Prayer: My Father, I thank You for this word. Incline my heart to serve in every way Your Spirit enables me. Teach me to love mercy as You do, and to walk humbly in the grace You so freely give. Amen.
