OF PEACE

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 NKJV

The clearest evidence of God’s hand at work in the heart of a believer is peace — not as the absence of chaos, trials, or opposition, but as a constant that holds steady in the midst of them.

This peace is not a momentary feeling but a governing presence, a portion of the inheritance for all who love Him. It is the Spirit’s guiding light unmoved by storms, unbroken by pressure. Paul wrote to the church in Colossae, a people under the weight of persecution, and called them to let peace rule their hearts. This was no shallow encouragement; it was a reminder that peace was theirs by right, secured in Christ.

So it is for you, Child of God. When peace rules, fear is dethroned. When peace governs, thanksgiving flows even in the driest of seasons. This is the peace that comes from knowing you are held in the Father’s hands, provided for by His promise, and safe within His will.

Prayer: My Father, I thank You for the peace that You have given me in Christ. Your peace rules above my emotions, circumstances, and fears. In every season, my heart is anchored in the certainty of Your love, and my lips are quick to give thanks in Jesus’ name. Amen.
