IDENTIFYING GOD’S INTEREST IN OTHERS (III)

“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.” I Timothy 1:5-7 NKJV

In 2Timothy 3:16, Paul writes: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

This passage tells us that the purpose for all these layers is love from a pure heart, a good conscience and sincere faith. The term “church hurt” is fitting when ministers exercise any of the processes in scripture deployment without love as the ultimate layer, with a pure heart and good conscience.

Child of God, there is never a time where the God you serve will expose any of his children to shame them, or with an end in sight that is not good and of love. You too, should never have an urge to correct, reproof, instruct or even teach doctrine without the same driving intention marked by love. Praise God!

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this truth. I exercise my self to do all things with the ultimate goal to honor you and extend the very love and grace you show me daily. May it be said of me that I sought justice, did good and showed mercy from the overflow of our intimacy, in Jesus name. Amen!
