THE DIVINELY ENLIGHTENED MIND

“Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.” Proverbs 28:5 NIV

In Romans 1:28, Paul speaks of God giving those who persistently refuse to acknowledge Him over to a depraved mind.

This piercing reality reveals that moral confusion is not merely an intellectual problem but a spiritual consequence. There is, by contrast, a profound protection that rests upon the heart that fears God. It is from this place that scripture affirms, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

Our theme scripture echoes this truth with even more precision: those committed to evil often lack true understanding of what is right, not because truth is unavailable, but because the heart has turned away from its source.

Scripture reminds us that the spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord; understanding flows from a life aligned with Him. To revere God is to walk in light, where discernment is sharpened and truth is rightly perceived.

Child of God, let us never mistake knowledge for wisdom. A divinely enlightened mind is not formed by information alone, but by devotion. As we seek the Lord with reverence and humility, He guards our understanding, orders our judgment, and keeps us from the darkness that clouds the unsubmitted heart.

To fear Him is not to lose clarity but to gain it fully. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this truth. I thank you for enlightening the eyes of my understanding by your Spirit. I thank you for ordering my thoughts, refining my judgments, and keeping me anchored in what is true and right. May my pursuit of you be the source of my discernment, and my surrender the pathway to wisdom, in Jesus name. Amen!
