ENTERING INTO HIS PEACE

“Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.” Isaiah 57:2 NIV

Scripture defines peace differently than the world does. It is not merely the absence of trouble, but the presence of God’s assurance. Isaiah tells us that those who walk uprightly enter into peace that is given, not earned, and carried beyond this life.

Upright walking does not mean a flawless life, but a faithful one. It is the steady posture of obedience, sincere repentance, and trust in God. Such lives may pass quietly, but they are never unnoticed by heaven. For the righteous, death is not described as loss, but as rest, a holy release into the care of God.

This truth comforts both the living and the dying. The same peace promised at life’s end is available now. When we walk with God, we learn to rest in Him daily, trusting that our lives are held securely in His hands.

Prayer: My Lord, I thank you for this truth. Teach me to walk uprightly before You, resting in Your grace and not my own strength. Help me to trust You with every season of my life, knowing that You are the giver of true peace, now and forever, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
