GOD’S GLORY IS GOD’S GOODNESS

“Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.” The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” Exodus 33:18-19 NLT

When Moses asked God to show him His glory, the Lord responded in agreement saying that His goodness shall go before him.

God defined His glory for us Himself. When we say He is good, we don’t just mean it lightly. We don’t say He is good only because of what He does, but because good is who He is. There is nothing in God that is able to deceive or lead you astray.

Child of God, we bring glory to God through our actions. He doesn’t ask us to display His glory just for the sake of it, but because when His glory is revealed HIs goodness is revealed and that blesses the world.

There is no goodness therefore that does not, in its own right, glorify God. Praise Him.

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for your word. I thank you for the privilege to know you intimately that my actions can glorify you and stir curiosity in the hearts of men to know you. May it be said of me that out of the abundance of my heart, the mouth spoke words of kindness and showed deeds of grace, in Jesus name. Amen!
