THE FINAL SIGNS

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:5-6 NKJV

Jesus does not hide reality from His disciples. He tells them plainly that deception will rise, confusion will spread, and the world will tremble. False saviors will speak with confidence, nations will rage and fear will travel faster than truth.

Yet in the middle of this prophecy, there is a command wrapped in mercy: “See that you are not troubled.” The Lord does not deny the chaos, but He assures us that He governs it.

Child of God, what shakes the world does not shake His throne. What surprises the nations does not surprise the Christ. He speaks of wars and deception not as a defeated bystander, but as the sovereign King who knows the end from the beginning. Thought these things “must come to pass”, they unfold under divine permission, not outside of it.

Deception thrives where discernment is shallow. Fear thrives where trust is thin. And so Jesus anchors us in Himself. We are not called to panic, but to persevere. We do not chase every voice claiming authority, but cling to the One who was crucified and risen. The false christs seek glory without a cross. The true Christ bore the cross before receiving the glory.

The end is not yet. History is not spiraling; it is unfolding according to the wisdom of God. And the Church does not endure by predicting timelines, but by abiding in Christ. Selah!

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this wisdom. My heart stays away from fear and my mind from deception. Because I am anchored in your truth, you keep me from false voices and shallow faith. I trust in your sovereign hand, even when I may not understand your timing. Let my peace testify that you reign, now and for ever, Amen.
