THE INNER WITNESS (I)

“Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7 NIV

Before Jesus Christ was glorified and ascended into heaven, God often spoke to His people through prophets.

They delivered the Lord’s oracles, gave direction to kings, warned nations, and prepared the hearts of the people for what God was about to do. In those days, the voice of God was frequently heard through chosen vessels who carried His message to the community.

Through these prophets, the Lord revealed His purposes and called His people back to Himself. Their words carried authority because they spoke what God had revealed. Yet the coming of Christ marked the beginning of something greater.

After His resurrection and ascension, the Lord Jesus entrusted to us the Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of God dwelling within believers. What the prophets longed to see has now been given to the church. The promise spoken long ago was fulfilled when God poured out His Spirit upon His people.

Child of God, His voice is no longer something you must search for from afar. The Spirit Himself now lives within us, guiding our hearts toward the truth of Christ. What was once heard through prophets has now become an inward work of the Spirit in the life of every believer.

Praise God!

Prayer: My Lord, thank You for fulfilling your promises through Christ. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, your people. Teach me to recognize your work in my heart and to remain attentive to your voice as you lead me to the path everlasting, in Jesus name. Amen.
