ALL THINGS WORKING TOGETHER
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV
It can sometimes be hard to reconcile this verse with current circumstances, especially when they are tough ones, but it doesn’t change the fact that God accommodates human weaknesses without ever redefining His standard.
Patriarchs such as Abraham or Jacob’s marriages had chaotic outcomes arise from their wives’s rivalry, but those situations never stood as a hindrance to God fulfilling His ultimate purposes. They did cost generations of divisions, chaos, conflicts, jealousy and all kinds of long term pains but in the end God’s original design of things such as marriage was reiterated as He originally meant it ( Ephesians 5:25).
So Child of God, whatever your situation looks like at present, know that nothing about your life or presence among the living is as a result of chance. God is sovereign over every evil, every situations, and every result of man’s fallen impulses.
Look not to the circumstances, instead fill your mind and heart with His promises and know His heart toward you is for good and for peace. Hallelujah!
Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this truth. My heart is anchored to yours through Christ who is sovereign over every detail of my life. I rest in your goodness, knowing that you are always working for your glory and for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
