HOPE FOR THOSE IN CHRIST
“For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.” 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 NIV
By the very nature of Adam, all humanity is marked for death. It is the inheritance of the fallen world.
Yet in Christ, we receive a greater inheritance, one sealed not by failure, but by His perfect sacrifice.
Through His death and resurrection, we are redeemed, made righteous, and set apart for good works born of faith. This is what it means to be born again. But Paul takes us further into a richer hope: death no longer has the final word. For those in Christ, death is only sleep. Just as He rose as the firstfruits, so too shall we rise at His coming. And for those still alive on that day, they will be caught up with Him, sharing in His eternal victory.
Child of God, this is a hope no one else can claim ; a hope anchored not in wishful thinking, but in the living Christ who conquered the grave. No matter the path your life takes, the end is already assured: triumph with Him. May you never loose the wonder of these promises, sit with them and let them stir your hope always.
Prayer: My Father, I thank You that in Christ, death is defeated and hope is secure. Remind me daily that no matter the trials I face, my end is not despair but everlasting triumph with You. Keep my eyes fixed on the promise of Your return, and let my life today reflect the victory that is already mine in Christ. Amen.
