OF SEARED CONSCIENCES (I)
“He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2 NIV
The story of King Asa is one that every believer should study and reflect upon deeply.
As David’s great-grandson, King Asa, by God’s grace, restored the land to worship Yahweh and reverence for God. However, over time, he grew complacent in his devotion.
Slowly, he became insensitive to God’s promptings. Child of God, never box God in or assume He will act according to your expectations.
His plans are not your own. Trusting Him means letting go of your own understanding—it’s one or the other.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for this word. I seek you daily because I know you are faithful and will never forsake me. My spirit’s only motion is upward and forward, in Jesus name. Amen!
