STABILITY IN TROUBLING TIMES
“The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”
Isaiah 33:5-6 NIV
We live in a time of political instability, natural disasters, and widespread rebellion, where human wisdom seems insufficient. Scripture has long warned that such days would come, outlining the chaos they would bring. Yet, the Lord hasn’t left us without guidance.
In Isaiah 33, God is described as our unshakable foundation, offering strength, security, wisdom, and guidance. But how do we tap into this? Isaiah tells us that wisdom will be the stability of our times, and Proverbs 9:10 reveals that wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. Today, the fear of the Lord is increasingly neglected, evident in society’s irreverence toward sacred practices and its embrace of sin.
Now more than ever, it is time for believers to deepen their relationship with God. In a world where manmade securities fail, only God’s truth will stand firm, and our actions will be revealed and rewarded.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for this word. I thank you for the precious gift of salvation, The word that sanctifies, and your precious Holy Spirit. I have all that I need for life and godliness, and by your grace, I exercise my self to live yielded to truth in all my dealings, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
