THE PROTOCOL OF ASSIGNMENTS
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
In the book of Acts 10:34, a story is given of how completely baffled Peter was to see that God went against what he thought was the only way he could use people. He concludes that “God is no respector of persons”.
In our theme scripture, Paul doesn’t deny that society has perceptions and beliefs about who should be doing what, but that when it comes to the gifts and callings of God — we should not flinch at the critics or naysers, therein disobeying God.
As it relates to kingdom matters, God owes us no explanation as to whom He chooses to us. He qualifies those whom He calls, and all that seems like weakness to man is good ground for God’s strength to be displayed.
Child of God, let it be said of you that you neglected not His gift upon your life in order to avoid criticism. Better to please God than man in everything you do. Selah!
Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this counsel. I am called, chosen and set apart. In all my dealings, I intentionally choose to put forth what you say is true of me as it imputes righteousness and change me from inside out. May it be said of me that my life was an example of godliness and contentment as my greatest gain, to the glory of my Lord Jesus. Amen!
