LOYALTY OF THE SPIRIT

“Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us”?” James 4:5 TPT

As believers, we ought to be more cognizant of the power of God’s Spirit dwelling in us. Many Christians live defeated lives simply because they do not acknowledge, know, or rely on the Spirit of God within them.

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He knows the mind and heart of God and lives as the divine mystery who grows in influence in one’s life the more we, His hosts, acknowledge and engage every good thing in us that is also in Christ (Philemon 1:6).

That is from whence James affirms the Spirit’s longing for our faithfulness to Him and to the things of God, with a hearty hatred for the ways of the world.

Child of God, there is no greater friend for a believer than He who searches and knows the deep things of God.

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this truth. I thank you for entrusting me with your precious spirit as a seal of my salvation. Forgive me for the times I have ignored Your presence and relied on my own strength. Teach me to be more aware of you within me, to yield more fully to your leading, and to cherish the fellowship you offer. Grow your influence in my life as I acknowledge every good thing that is in me through Christ. Help me to love what You love and to turn away from the ways of this world. I praise God for you, my faithful guide and friend, in Jesus name. Amen!
