CONFIDING IN GOD
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalms 37:5-6 NIV
Sincerity is the best thing mankind can ever do for themselves. I was listening to a wonderful minister the other day speak of how if you are sincere with yourself you keep making progress.
David brings us an even greater perspective, be sincere with God. The message version of the same passage says ‘open up to God’. Some of the prayers we make are mastered high register jargon not withstanding we are speaking to the only one who searches and knows the hearts of men. The only one whom pretense does not affect since he knows all.
Child of God, learn to be and remain a child before God. Jesus looks at children and says it is easier for them to enter the kingdom of God and if we may do anything for ourselves we would better follow this example (Matthew 18:3). A blessing is also tied to it, your reward is sure and you will sooner or later be vindicated just as we know the sun will rise! Be children before your father. Hallelujah !
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I have exercised my spirit to come before you withhold simplicity and sincerity. I have experienced your loving correction and reassuring presence. I know godly sorrow brings repentance and brings me higher, to the place I have been called to sit above all principalities. I am a king and a priest, a son and heir for whom no condemnation stands against, in Jesus name! Amen.
