GOODNESS OF GOD

“I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” Psalms 16:2 NLT

Even if mankind had never existed, God would still be glorious beyond our understanding. But in His great love, He humbled Himself, coming to us through His Son, Jesus. As James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift comes from God.”

Jesus’ sacrifice wasn’t because God needed us, but because of His love for us. He chose to redeem us out of His abundant goodness, not from any lack. As believers, we are called to reflect this same humility and goodness. Let us remember the overwhelming reason we have to be humble: God’s love for us.

We are called to live with gratitude, acknowledging that all we have is a gift from Him, and in turn, share that love and goodness with others.

Let this truth shape how we live and interact with one another each day.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for this word. It is of your goodness that all good in me flows. The Bible says to imitate God, and as many other things in my life, I imitate your meekness and goodness as you lived among men, that your light may shine through me, in Jesus name.
