GRACE FOR THE IGNORANT

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.”
I Timothy 1:12-13 NKJV

Every single one of us that has decided to follow Jesus has many things that would disqualify us from the privilege of approaching His throne with boldness or serving Him at all.

Yet, because of His mercy, His grace, and His wisdom that seems like foolishness to the world, those very weaknesses are the reason He uses us and gets the glory. Paul’s statement in our theme scripture encourages you and I, but mostly those who haven’t yet believed to know that there is nothing you can add or remove to be counted worthy except His love that covers a multitude of sin.

Child of God we keep our sin in view only to be able to fully and truly appreciate the grace that has been showed us. But we lay down its weight that we may not be hindered to fulfill our purpose in Christ. Hallelujah !

Prayer: Father I thank you for this word. In it I have found freedom and learn daily to appreciate the grace that singled me out, saved me, set me apart and used me to the glory of your name. I have tamed my thoughts to remember this truth whenever the accuser attempts me to think otherwise, in Jesus name. Amen!
