GRACE & TRUTH
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV
Grace and truth walk hand in hand, but are not to be confused with enabling godless behaviors.
Often, people say “show grace,” suggesting hard truths should be avoided. However, grace without truth is deceptive, and truth without grace is harmful. Jesus perfectly exemplified both. He forgave the woman caught in adultery, but also called her to repentance (John 8:11). He ate with sinners and healed the sick, but urged them to give glory to God and live by faith (John 5:6).
Let it also be said of you, child of God that as you go about your dealings, you showed grace and truth, serving the Lord wholeheartedly. Praise God!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I exercise grace and truth in every opportunity provided, demonstrating the power of your word at work in me. It will be said of me that I was a carrier of grace in all things, in Jesus name. Amen!
