”And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize. Instead, he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!“
Philippians 2:5-8 TPT

The only reason we have the privilege of approaching God with boldness and confidence that we shall be heard is because Christ took our human form. He did so that we may be able to relate with God from whence we could understand Him from.

In our theme scripture, Paul highlights this attitude that was present in Christ as the standard by which we ought to treat others, especially non-believers. The most loving thing you can ever do for someone is to try and be intentional about seeing the world through their lens as a means to invite them into yours — which is Christ’s.

Many believers fail to tap into the great commission to evangelize as Christ asked of us because they come with how to’s and pull the gavel for judgement when others fail. It is not to be mistaken for looking like the world to win them over, but to always be on the lookout for an opportunity to witness to others in truth and without compromise.

Child of God, it is He that causes us to will and do (Philippians 2:13), we ought to see things as He calls them even before we apply ourselves in the doing. Envision those you have a burden for, envision them saved and serving the Lord, pray for them, then ask of the Lord to provide opportunities to be a light to them. This is how we become luminaries, Hallelujah!

Prayer: Father, I thank you for this word. I follow the most excellent example to have been set, and as Christ orders my steps, I am confident that my end is of God, and it is good. I am ever ready to grasp every opportunity to point to Christ and I spur men to place their trust in you. As I lift Your name, so will you draw men to yourself. To you be all glory, honor, and praise. Amen!
