PERFECT BEING MADE HOLY

“But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” Hebrews 10:12-14 NIV

The message of grace is vast—so deep and wide that words on this side of eternity can never fully capture its glory. And yet, in this passage from Hebrews, we catch a breathtaking glimpse of how God sees the redeemed. This is how He sees you.

Through Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice, you have been made perfect forever. Not will be, not are being—but have been. This is a completed work, a settled reality in the eyes of God.
And yet, even as you are already perfect in Christ, God continues a daily work within you. He is making you holy. He is renewing your mind, shaping your desires, and aligning your heart more fully with His as you walk in step with His Spirit.

This is not a contradiction, but a beautiful tension: perfect and yet being perfected. Justified and yet being sanctified. This is the mystery and majesty of grace. So never lose sight of what Christ accomplished at the cross. Stand firm in the truth that you are already accepted, already perfected in Him.

And as you live out that truth day by day, He continues the holy work of making you more like Himself.

Hallelujah !

Prayer: Father, thank You for the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus that has made me perfect in Your eyes. Help me to live each day rooted in that truth, not striving for approval but walking in the grace that has already been given. As You make me holy, renew my mind, align my heart with Yours, and shape me into the image of Christ. Let Your transforming work continue in me, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
