SEEING AS GOD SEES

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:44-45 NIV

One of the questions that plague the hearts of many next to why bad stuff happen to good people (which also can be broken down through scriptural truth), is why the wicked prosper.

The apostle Peter gives us an insight in one of the many wisdoms of God in 2 Peter 3:9, whereby He says “the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.

If God had caused the rapture even just a day before you confessed Christ as Lord and savior, you would have missed the chance to hear the good news, and respond that you may gain eternal life. It is the same mercy which he exercises toward the others who are still blinded and deceived by the prince of this world.

Child of God, seeing with the eyes of God means rising above our personal preferences and incomplete counsel in making judgement for the world and what is in it. Remember that even when we know, we know in part. Even when we prophecy, we prophecy only in part (1 Corinthians 13:9).

Let the just judge do His part, as you abide in Him to grow in grace and in compassion toward your brethren and those who seem not to deserve it at all. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I submit to your counsel which is higher in thought and in ways for you have set the appointed times for all harvests. I serve and honor men with grace, patience and compassion because I have the fear of God which instills wisdom to live as you lead me to. It shall be said of me that I glorified you in all my endeavors in Jesus name. Amen!
