”Wisdom has built her house; she has carved its seven columns.“
In
, the Bible calls Christ the wisdom of God. The Hebrew word translated “to build” or has built in our text has the same root as sons, meaning wisdom builds sons, which you and I are through Christ who reconciled us to God as we believed. If then Christ turns us into sons, and his dwelling in us makes us spiritual dwellings of the wisdom of God which He Himself is, there is no sonship that can come from any other source except from accepting the lordship of Jesus Christ.
In our theme scripture, Solomon tells us that Christ builds his habitation (he builds us up) and in it establishes seven pillars which enable it to stand (and as we yield, those represent His work through us).
Such pillars are found in
…the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.”No man that is under the Lordship and tutelage of Christ, will be found wanting in the above for it is all the wealth that is hidden where no moth or rust can attain
).Prayer: Father, I thank you for this wisdom. I am yielded to the power that translates servants into sons. I am man/woman helped by your grace and my profiting appears to all. It is in Christ alone in whom I live, move, and have my being all my days, to the glory of your name. Amen!
