THE LORD’S WILL

“To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” Proverbs 21:3 NIV

God’s will is often spoken of, even among believers, as an ambiguous riddle too hard to grasp. As a result, many resign themselves to the unpredictability of circumstances instead of yielding in faith to the steady, trustworthy leading of the Holy Spirit.

Our theme scripture grounds us in a profound truth: the will of God is strongly rooted in obedience. In 1 Samuel 15, a story if given of a king who was rejected by God not for ignorance, but for willful disobedience. Though he continued in office for 15 more years, the absence of consequence in the natural did not cancel heaven’s verdict. It is far better to live unnoticed by the world and accepted by God than to be celebrated outwardly while rejected inwardly.

True success is not found in titles or applause, but in walking surrendered and in step with God’s will. Obedience is the clearest way to do so and stay aligned with God’s heart. When we violate the foundational principles He has laid, we walk with a veil over our eyes, uncertain and unstable. But the one who yields to His Word walks in light and clarity. Child of God, let God be true and every man a liar. It is He who said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” so that you may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper.” It is also He who said that we have an unction from the Holy One and know all things. You are not lost, and you are not forsaken.

Through Christ, and by His Spirit, you are empowered to walk in obedience—not in your own strength, but in the strength of the One who already fulfilled it all. Hallelujah!

Prayer: My Father, thank You for your finished work in Christ. Thank You that obedience is not a burden but a joy made possible by Your Spirit in us. Even when the path seems unclear, I trust that You are ever-present and leading me into all truth. Thank You that I am not left to wander in confusion, but walk in step with You, clothed in righteousness, and guided by grace, in Jesus name. Amen!
