THE PRIVILEGE OF RELYING ON GOD
“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.” Psalms 125:1 NIV
Relying on the Lord is a sacred privilege. To trust Him is to place the full weight of our lives on His faithfulness. Scripture likens such trust to Mount Zion. Mountains are steady, immovable, and enduring. The strength is not in the mountain itself, but in what upholds it.
When we rely on God, we are not promised a life without pressure, but a heart that will not collapse under it. Circumstances may shake, emotions may waver, and seasons may change, but those who trust the Lord remain grounded. Their stability is not self-made; but God-given.
Child of God this word reminds us that trust anchors the soul. Not because life is predictable, but because God is faithful. To rely on Him is to rest in what endures forever.
Prayer: My Father, I thank you that when I trust in you, I am not easily shaken. Thank you for being my firm foundation in every season. Thank you for the privilege of relying on you and for the peace that comes from knowing you endure forever. Teach my heart to trust you more fully each day, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
