WE UNDERSTAND IN PART

“Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”” John 13:7 NIV

Our theme scripture is part of the moments that led to the cross.

Jesus, in humility and servanthood, washes the feet of His disciples, which culturally was a task for the least of the servants.

Many times we might not understand what God is doing or why certain things pan out the way they do, but the Lord is trustworthy and faithful. The contradicting tension of Christ serving what seemed to be His servants and dying while He was the One who raised the dead must have been utterly confusing to the twelve.

But the words of Jesus stand true today; it is still a promise of understanding as we walk with Christ, mature spiritually, and see God’s purposes unfold, even through trials or confusing circumstances.

Be firm in your belief, unwavering in your love, and abandoned in your faith. In the end, all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.

Prayer: My Father, I thank you for this truth. I pray for wisdom and understanding, for your heart to be the center of my affections. I thank you for the provision you made in Christ, that I may live freely and access the throne of grace with boldness. May it be said of me that in my day of visitation I understood, to the glory of Your name. Amen!
