CHRIST IN ALL THINGS
“Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.” Philippians 1:12 NIV
Recently, I spoke with a brother in Christ who had been struggling with his health and making multiple hospital visits.
As he shared his experiences, his face lit up with joy, especially when talking about the many chances he had to speak about Christ—whether to a neighbor in his hospital room, a nurse taking his blood, a doctor checking on him, or even janitors cleaning the halls. In our scripture today, the Apostle Paul expresses a similar feeling, though his setting was a prison. I imagine some in his cell might have been criminals who felt they deserved their punishment—until they heard Paul’s story.
Today, we may not always have the freedom to openly share about Jesus. But when opportunities arise, let us be bold in proclaiming the hope we have in Christ. Let others see our faith and be curious about the Jesus we follow. Just as Paul felt an urgency to share the Gospel, may we feel the same burden for those who have not heard. May every circumstance we face help spread the Gospel, in Jesus’ name!
Prayer: Father, thank You for this opportunity. I am always ready to share the hope I have. Help me press forward, like Christ, leaving the past behind and focusing on the joy ahead. Let my words be a sharp arrow, so that the Gospel can reach others through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
