FREEDOM OF WORSHIP

“the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.” Luke 1:73-75 NIV

The word ritual always causes me to shudder because it is associated to a set of things to do in order to gain something invaluable in return.

I cannot possibly fathom what things a man would need to do to gain the grace and mercy of God! But praise be to Jesus, who by His sacrifice afforded us the liberty to not only be called sons but to worship without fear and with a holiness and righteousness imputed to us through faith.

Child of God, this is why praying with reluctant and doubtful petitions is an insult to our Lord for He came that we may approach Him with boldness. The pattern is therefore simple, start your prayers (1)with thanksgiving, (2)acknowledge your need as already availed and yourself seeking wisdom to walk into what’s been given and finally (3) hold fast to the confession and confidence of one who has already received.

Whatsoever you ask in his name and according to His will, you shall receive. Praise God!

Prayer: Father, I thank you for this truth. My trajectory is glory to glory and grace to grace, and the longer I live the brighter I shine. I am grateful for salvation, for sonship and for all the riches availed for me through Christ my Lord and Savior, Amen!
