GRACIOUS SPEECH
“One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.”
There is something tremendously special about a person who knows not just when, but how to speak.
As a child of God, He promises to give you the tongue of the learned to speak a word in season (), and this is the confidence you carry whether you are mediating in the middle of conflict, sharing the faith you have, winning a soul to Christ, speaking in wisdom and avoiding to act when out of temper. As you grow in your faith and in your intimacy with God, especially by means of acquainting yourself with His Word, you realize that this soft speech from a pure heart effortlessly flows from your lips.
Remember that the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (). This makes is a perfect judge of our intentions as it searches the heart, performing a spiritual surgery that inevitably produces fruit in and through the yielded vessel. And after all, it grants you favor before the king, that is God and whom He has made kings and priests unto Himself (). Hallelujah!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I am a man with a ruled spirit and I have all that I need for life and godliness, to judge a matter with the same. Every word that proceeds from my mouth edifies and your Holy spirit tames wherever I am inclined to error. Praise be unto God who always causes us to triumph through Christ our Lord, Amen!
