PRESSING FORWARD

“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 NLT

The resurrection story is an offense to many because the prince of this world had thought he won, not knowing that in reality he simply participated in the bigger scheme of things which God had already intended for.

Just as history shows, it is during symbolic times such as this remembrance, where we remember the ultimate sacrifice ever made for the salvation of mankind that you will see concurrent patterns or events that highlight the evil looming in the midst of humanity, but it bears no mark on your soul.

Where the enemy discerns a heavenly victory, an instrumental time of reflection and response to the good news, he seeks to speak most that you may be distracted.

But take courage child of God, you were bought a great price, and as Paul puts it well, it is this price that begat you to which every knee shall bow.

Let this be the fondest desire of your heart as you reflect on the unspeakable gift of your salvation:

That you may know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. That in your suffering, you may suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another you may experience this resurrection from the dead! To God be the glory, for ever, and ever, Amen!

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. With joy, I draw from the wells of my salvation for I know my debt has been paid, my battles have been won and the record of condemnation that stood against me has been acquitted. To you be glory and honor through Christ our Lord, Amen!
