PURPOSEFUL TEACHING
“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”Colossians 1:28 NIV
In the book of James 3:1, the Bible admonishes us not to be quick to desire to be teachers because that places you on a higher standard of judgement.
In our theme scripture, Paul reminds us that to every teacher, the reward of their labor shall be in how many have been presented fully mature in Christ. This gives both the believer and the shepherd a responsibility both to be responsible and accountable.
Child of God, we are hard wired to be in community, under authority and in submission. When this pattern is broken or wanting, no man can be a balanced individual for the fullness of maturity in Christ cannot be separated of its principles.
It will be said of you that you yielded willingly to every opportunity to churn your maturity in our Lord Jesus! Amen.
Prayer: Father I thank you for this word. I have learnt to tame my body and spirit. I have cast down every imagination that attempts to exalt itself above God and look to things noble, praiseworthy, good, and of great report in Jesus mighty name.
