RIGHTFUL ESTIMATE OF SELF (I)
“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7 NIV
In Ecclesiastes 1:9, the Bible tells us that there is nothing new under the sun.
What you are experiencing today, someone else has already gone through—perhaps in a lesser form or with less advancement—but it is not new.
With that in mind, it is important to be a keen student of history in everything you seek to pursue and excel at. As believers, we stand on the brink of one of the greatest revivals the world has ever seen, and many of us are the fruit of seeds planted by our forefathers in the faith. It is our duty and responsibility to study both the patterns and principles that led to their success, as well as the areas where they failed. By considering their outcomes, we can avoid the common pitfalls that led to premature endings.
May the mindset that was in Paul be great counsel to us today. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Father, I thank You for this wisdom. I pray for clarity of thought and a sincere consideration of the convictions You place on my heart. Grant me the humility to have an honest assessment of where I stand, so that Your grace may be my only reason to boast. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
