THE POWER THAT KEEPS US

Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
Jude 1:24 NLT

There are Christians who live in a perpetual anxiety of losing their salvation. Our theme scripture tells us that is impossible, because we don’t earn it, so can we not keep it.

God keeps you. God teaches you. God convicts you, then instructs you back into your restoration. God heals you. God empowers you. God stirs up your confidence. God connects you to destiny helpers, meaningful friendships and selfless relationships. God authors and finishes all that partakes to your faith ( Hebrews 12:2).

Your part is to yield, obey, rejoice and give thanks. There should never be a time where God’s correction wrecks you but does not restore, such is not the heart of God. The spirit of condemnation is not of Him, for godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Child of God, this is the heart of God — that the end of all things may be love. Love is gentle but not soft, kind but not passive, doesn’t keep records of wrong but does not repeatedly offend in the same manner, it does not boast but it is not timid, it does not envy but covets the good things of the spirit, it is not self seeking yet carries power in it to fulfill the needs of its seeker.

Be of good cheer. He that began this good word in you shall bring it to completion. As for you, ABIDE!

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I find comfort and rest in knowing that you give good gifts to men and sustain all those that will not elevate them beyond their giver. I yield my heart to you that all things may abide in love. To you who is able to do abundantly, exceedingly and above that which I can dare ask for, to you I surrender all that I may be perfected in your love, in Jesus name. Amen!
