THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS
“Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.” 1 John 5:10 NIV
The New Testament does not often give direct instructions as the Old Testament does.
However, the epistles of John stand out as a book that removes any uncertainty, ensuring that no one is deceived. Our theme scripture is a foundational truth that refutes the claims of religions that deny Christ as the Son of God. It affirms that He died and rose again for the salvation of our souls. The instruction is clear: whoever rejects the testimony that God Himself has given about His Son (Matthew 3:17) makes God a liar. Denying Jesus as God is one thing, but calling God a liar is another, for He has personally testified to the divinity and sovereignty of His Son.
Do not be swayed by deception or empty words, for the Spirit will always vindicate the truth. Praise the Lord.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for this word. My soul testifies to the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. I experience transformation and healing daily because of having encountered this truth. My life is one to testify of the same until the earth is full of the knowledge of God, so help me God — in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
