THE UNSPEAKABLE GIFT OF GOD

”The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.“ Romans 8:3 NLT

Take a moment and re-read the scripture above engaged with both your mind and heart.

The nature of sin demands that to correct its wrongs and redeem the sinner, there be a costly sacrifice that requires a shedding of blood (Romans 6:23). The Old Testament church sacrificed animals, but if we sacrificed a bull every second that man sinned, not even all the animals of the world would suffice.

The law was not bad in itself, it just constantly stood as a condemnation every time man sinned. Christ who was perfect was given to become that sacrifice whose blood will be shed once but as a sacrifice worth eternity. God intelligently made him like us and among us that we may never feel estranged to that way of life or union of his with God once we cross over into our new identity in Him.

In short, the unavoidable sin in the human flesh has NO CONTROL over you anymore as one in Christ. When you keep to beholding what He did, you are endued with power to control the things that lead to sin. In other words you gained authority to resist and overcome sin and its wage, which is death.

Child of God, confidently walk with this understanding from your mind and into your heart. There truly is no condemnation for those that are in Christ. Its is not a license to sin, but an invitation into a presence that metamorphoses you and loosens the hold of differing appetites or desires. Grace starts it, grace sustains it and grace finishes it.

Your part is to believe, and behold as you are transformed. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Father I thank you for this freeing truth. I walk daily into the power and might of the blood of Jesus and I can testify that I am transformed daily as I behold the light of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Help me to stay the course by searching my heart continually and exposing what may hinder me or offend your spirit, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
