THE VISION OF PRAYER (II)
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.” Isaiah 6:1 NIV
Isaiah’s vision of heaven was, as many Bible scholars and historians believe, one had in prayer. He stumbles into a realm where he hears a conversation in which the Lord sought for a man to commission and he volunteers himself for the task.
The heart of God is not about merely doing things for us, but searching the earth for men and women who can co-labor through prayer for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as is in heaven( Matthew 6:9).
This is why myopic prayers only limit us to our needs and hinder us from being brave men and women who can be entrusted with kingdom oracles. Child of God, cast your net wide, pray for nations you may never enter, for people you may never meet.
Be informed about the state of affairs so that you can make a difference by speaking to God about it. This is unlike any other treasure you may be able to store up in one lifetime. You can’t run out of things to pray for when it is not about you. Praise God!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I thank you for the gift of prayer, through which I have unlimited access to you. I thank the for the Holy Spirit who prays for and through me even when I have no words to speak. The fire on my altar shall be kept burning, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
