THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NIV
The Lord has graciously entrusted His children with various gifts and callings.
Within each of these callings is divine equipping—not merely to defend, but to overcome. We are not only armed but anointed to win. Yet, the challenge is this: those who have already been declared victorious in Christ often spend more time analyzing the enemy’s schemes than they do stepping out in obedient faith, grounded in what Christ has already accomplished.
This misplaced focus results in another troubling pattern: believers who are more aware of darkness than they are of the resurrection power alive within them. Beloved, our Father never intended for us to be more conscious of evil than of good. We were created to walk by faith, not by sight.
And if we go in the strength He gives, we can be confident—He will bring the victory. Refuse to let fear shape your perspective. Refuse to be more alert to darkness than to light.
Our God is a God of reconciliation, restoration, humility, gentleness, and above all, love.
Prayer: Father, thank You for this truth. Thank You for the mind of Christ that dwells in me, anchoring me in Your presence in every moment and every circumstance. Help me to remember that even when battles arise, I fight from victory—not for it. I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus to the glory of Your name. Amen.
