Everything about your life communicates who your identity is derived from.
If your father is the president of your nation, you will show up as the son of the president in every engagement because of your relationship to the head of state.
The same is true for us children of God, if truly we have put to death our old nature, everything about us should communicate the DNA of the new seed that has begat us and it should appear to all men that see us. What you choose to wear, what you allow to come out of your mouth, the company you choose to keep, what you choose your altar to communicate— all these things must show that your life is a Christ Life.
If it demands a death, of a relationship, a job, an idea you wanted to implement so much but in your own strength, consider it menial in comparison to what God has in hand for you. I have never seen anything die in God’s hands, and whatever you return to Him as He tests you into maturity, will always come back to you a trifold. Trust ye unswervingly in Him!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this word. I have found more life in yielding to you than I ever found in chasing after my dreams. I can confidently testify that none of the desires of my heart in line with your will have failed and to this cause I trust you all my days for all things in you are yea and Amen! I pray this in Jesus name, Amen!
