TRUTH SPEAKS
“Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.” John 7:17 NIV
Righteousness has already been credited to everyone who has faith in Christ, recognizing Him as Lord and Savior.
However, living in righteousness is a daily choice that requires your active involvement as a child of God. One of the many benefits of maintaining an upright heart (righteousness) is the confirmation of God’s Spirit within us when we hear the Word preached. Throughout history, many have struggled to distinguish between false and true doctrine. The root cause of this issue is the absence of truth in their hearts. If your walk with Christ is often compromised—torn between the world and your faith—your conscience becomes dulled, leading to a lack of conviction and, ultimately, hindering transformation.
This is what Paul warns about in 2 Timothy 4:3, where he says that many will follow teachers who tell them what they want to hear, catering to their desires rather than nourishing their spirits. Child of God, if truth lives within you, the Holy Spirit will always guide you to recognize when the truth is being preached. Allow God to fulfill His promise to keep you from stumbling, as you remain obedient to His Word.
Praise Him!
Prayer: Father, thank You for this wisdom. I recognize and hear the voice of Your counsel that leads me into truth. I eagerly seek the guidance that will transform me and bring me closer to wholeness as Your Word is rightly divided. May it be said of me that my life demonstrates unwavering devotion to You. Amen!
