ULTIMATE TRUST IN GOD

“God is not a man; he will not lie. God is not a human being; his decisions will not change. If he says he will do something, then he will do it. If he makes a promise, then he will do what he promised.” Numbers 23:19 ERV

Jennie Allen says, “Every sin, at its root, is based on something we do not fully believe about God.”

I’ve noticed that the areas in which I am completely convinced about God rarely become stumbling blocks or points of attack in my life. While it’s true that we can take captive thoughts and imaginations that try to elevate themselves above the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5), we are also told we can condemn every tongue that rises against us (Isaiah 54:17). However, these promises won’t hold true for you unless you’ve tested and proven them for yourself.

God’s wisdom is often seen as foolish by the world—not because it’s impossible or hard to understand, but because it’s so simple. It’s easier for people to trust in a herbalist or perform various rituals than to confront their thoughts with the truth of scripture. But our theme scripture reminds us that when God speaks, all the power and authority needed to fulfill His promise is contained in the very word He speaks.

Our responsibility is to meditate on His word and apply it, trusting that He has exalted His word above His name. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: Father, thank You for this truth. I have tested and proven the power and reliability of Your word. I know it is true and unwavering, and I surrender my will and spirit to be taught and led by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
