ARE YOU KING ?

“Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” John 18:37 NKJV

Pilate asked Jesus, “Are You a king?” To which Jesus responded, “For this cause I have come into the world, that I may bear witness to the truth.”

Pilate, in his confusion, asked, “What is truth?” Yet, standing right before him was the embodiment of truth, and he did not recognize it. The Kingdom of Jesus is not built on power or dominance, but on love—a dominion that rules over hearts, minds, and spirits.

As Spurgeon rightly said, all other kings are mere brutes in comparison to the King of Kings. What sets us apart, as children of God, is this Kingdom of love. In every area of life—whether at work, in your relationships, in service to others, or in your devotion to God—let God’s love shine through.

When you live with love at the center of all you do, it will be said of you, “Are you king?”

Prayer: Father, I thank you for this truth. I pray for your life to abound in me so much that it reflects kingship in all my dealings. I pray to dominate with and in love as I serve and love my neighbors as you have loved me — in Jesus name. Amen!
