BALANCED JUDGEMENT
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32 NIV
Often times when tribulations come, the first instinct is to wallow in why it could be you, perhaps pity yourself, have a dissonance because of what you have believed for and even sometimes judge God foolishly.
Our theme scripture tells us that the most precious possession God had was His son, and when He saw that the world needed a savior of a caliber unheard and unseen in human history, he gave up that very precious life for the sake of you and I. To think that such a God, would be working against you, after sacrificing this much to redeem you is completely unreasonable whether logically, or scientifically — yet possible!
Child of God, following Jesus requires that we trust and truly resolve in our hearts to stick to one truth: He is good, He is for me and not against me, and He is faithful. If you may, work at internalizing this truth to the best of your ability, with the help of the spirit. Let it be so true of Him, to you, that nothing in heaven on in hell could rip you off from that truth. This will spare your heart of many sorrows! Hallelujah.
Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I thank you for your faithfulness, even when we are faithless. I am persuaded with everything in me, that you are always good, that you are always faithful and worthy to be trusted. When my heart fails me, help me remember that you are greater than my heart too. I lean entirely on the grace that you freely gave to guide me home in all circumstances, in Jesus precious name, Amen!
