CHRIST REVEALED
“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.” John 12:32-33 NIV
Every man who is saved by grace through faith, and sincerely understands the forgiveness of sin can hardly withhold the message of the Word.
In fact a great minister of ancient times put it well when he said “are you really saved if you have no need for others to be saved?”. I echo those words because once you truly learn to appreciate what Christ did, compassion for those that don’t can’t but grip your heart.
In our theme scripture, Jesus gives an analogy that points to the kind of death He was going to experience, but in the same breath highlights to which end all that would happen — that men would be drawn to Him. Scripture says there is no way to the Father except through Christ, and every time Christ’s death and resurrection is understood, men are drawn. There is no instance where Christ can truly be lifted and there is no response because the lost, regardless of their lost state, are still called a harvest in His eyes (Matthew 9:35).
Child of God, take a hold of every opportunity to lift Christ. The great commission to witness and make disciples is not reserved to those in the pulpit but to everyone who has understood what they have received, in this way you fulfill the will of the Lord (1 Timothy 2:4). Hallelujah!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. As the prophet testified, your word is shut in my bones like a wildfire and I cannot help but share that others may come to know the truth. I rely on your spirit to fill my mouth and my part is to open it. I have resolved to be available in every circumstance that will glorify your name, through Christ Jesus, now and forevermore. Amen!
