CLEAN HANDS & PURE HEARTS
“Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,” 1 Timothy 6:20 NIV
The political and social climate we are living in is very provocative especially with social media. As believers however, Paul gives us a very important perspective through his counsel to Timothy. It is not our place to fix what is broken about society, our only commission is to bear witness to the gospel of Christ in truth and in love.
We get very distracted when we take part in the conversations that divide us as image bearers, what Paul calls opposing ideas falsely called knowledge. Child of God, learn to hold your peace especially if you haven’t gauged an opinion as edifying, encouraging or instructing with great patience. Such is the way of God!
Praise the Lord.
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I am tamed and only engage in what edifies the body. Help me walk in love in all my endeavors for freely was I given, in Jesus name. Amen!
