COMMUNICATING RIGHT
“For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:11 NIV
People are not mind readers.
Whether it be for drawing boundaries, addressing discomfort, resolving conflicts or expressing feelings or emotions, there needs to be clear communication before there is any expectation. Paul addresses this because its an all too common phenomena and it has put a strain on many relationships and friendships alike.
Child of God, when we lack in this area, we also stifle the spirit of God which He has given us for this very purpose, to communicate God’s will to us and bear witness to it. Speak therefore to one another with clarity, grace and love.
Let your yes be yes and your no be no for all else is not of God (Matthew 5:37).
Prayer: Father I thank you for this word. I am disciplined in my speech and intentional in all that I say. It shall be said of me that your name was glorified in all my dealings, in Jesus name. Amen!
