DO NOT SEND YOURSELF
“Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16 NIV
It is one thing to be skilled or gifted, but it is a different thing to be sent by the Lord.
As believers, Jesus has already sent us into the world to make disciples of all nations, our part is to be aligned and sensitive to the spirit’s leading seeing He alone searches the hearts of men. For example, when you sit in a service and you feel like every word spoken is addressing you specifically, many other people so happen to feel the same yet they are listening to the same message but experiencing different challenges.
Let us have this same wisdom as Moses did in tackling every endeavor God has assigned to us. Let us humble ourselves and seek his guidance not relying on our own wisdom or knowledge but His spirit that ministers to every heart according to God’s pleasure. In this way it shall be known of us that God is pleased with us; Praise Him.
Prayer: Father I thank you that when I am yielded you work in and through me according to your good pleasure. If you are looking to do anything in my generation, do not do it without me. I exercise my spirit daily to yield to your promptings, and it will be said of me that I lived a life pleasant to you through Christ Jesus, Amen!
