FAITHFUL WORKS

“We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 1:3 NIV

As a follower of Jesus Christ, it is impossible to have a full revelation of what has been done for you at the cross and not be yearning to serve others in your community or local church.

Some serve out of obligation, some serve out of peer pressure, some serve because of ulterior motives, but some serve out of revelation. The apostle Paul breaks it down best: faith is put into practice, love motivates service and hope fuels patience. No man who has fully understood these three components of the works of faith can be complacent or reserved in their service unto God.

Where others have burnt you are energized daily, where some have fainted you carry testimonies because you are led and strengthened by the spirit of God at work in you. In your faithfulness, you are humbled by the knowing that the treasure is in an earthen vessel that the sufficiency will be of Christ! Hallelujah.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for this wisdom. I am diligent in every opportunity to serve because I understand what has been entrusted to me. I do not exercise my self in matters too great for me neither can I offer you a sacrifice that costs me nothing for in you I live, move and have my being — in Jesus name. Amen!
