TRUE VINDICATION
“Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 NIV
Many people who have shared testimonies of traumatic experiences such as sexual assault or encountering inappropriate content, at a young age tend to commonly share to have instinctively known that what they had experienced or seen was wrong.
They knew it was something that should never have happened, consequently hiding it from their families. This reveals a universal truth: we all carry an inner awareness of right and wrong. However, over time, when this inner voice is ignored or dismissed, it can fade into the background. This is when people begin to act out of alignment with their true nature, engaging in behaviors that are unnatural and destructive.
In our key scripture, the Bible speaks of Jesus being vindicated by the Spirit. His words carried weight because they resonated deeply with the hearts of those who heard them. Jesus spoke to the spirit within them—the truth they already knew but needed to be awakened to. As a result, they believed Him without hesitation. As believers, we should strive to be so immersed in truth that everything we say and do is confirmed by the Spirit in the same way.
If you’re a minister, people will be drawn to your message because the Spirit will testify to the truth in their own hearts. If you’re a parent, your authority will be trusted and obeyed, because your children will feel the sincerity of your care for their souls. In the workplace, your ideas will resonate with others because they will speak to their deepest values.
This is the inheritance of the saints. Praise God!
Prayer: Father, I thank you for the gift of your holy spirit. Because I am yielded to truth, my words are vindicated by your spirit ; my actions fall in alignment with your plans. I carry the grace to excel wherever I serve because your hand is upon me, in Jesus name. Amen!
