FIRM GRIP ON TRUST

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalms 20:7 NIV

Scripture defined faith as the substance of things hoped for, and hope as expectation of good to come.

With that in mind, we live in a society where relying on those two aspects is almost obsolete because we know so and so’s, are those so and so’s or are connected to one that knows one like that. David typifies the words of Jesus Christ when He said “blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom”.

It is conceit alone rooted in pride that can cause a man to think they know all that they need to know. Child of God, its hard to miss horses and chariots because they make a show with their strength and rattling — and yet having godly discernment is clearer and greater than the show of horses or chariots. You can’t fully understand this truth and contend with whether you are the girl for the job, the man for the project or the chosen minister for the mission.

You are Christ’s, created to do good works! Hallelujah.

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who gives me strength. My trust is unshakable because I know who I have believed, in Jesus name! Amen.

CI.
